Weather is so important when deciding to eat outside. We tend to think that summer is primo picnic time – think fourth of July and red checkered table cloths – but actually cooler fall temps make for some really enjoyable outings. We’ve seen some amazing college tailgates, complete with oriental rugs, standing lamps and baby grills. For something simpler, why not pack a little table and chair number – plus picnic basket – in the “boot” of your auto? Then you will be ready for highway overlooks that we all whiz past with nary a peak at what lies over yonder.   Or skip the yard work and escape to catch the fall colors, pick apples or sample some local wines.   There’s still time to enjoy a tasty repast, then lay back on a raggedy quilt, sunglasses to heaven and bask in the last warm rays of 2014.

Life is very good.
